Mingyi Gan is a New York-based illustrator, graphic designer and zine maker. As an unique and versatile visual artist specialized in vibrant color and fashionable composition, Mingyi also masters profound human body modeling and preeminent line quality. Through visually captivating and intellectually stimulating original artworks, Mingyi explores her understanding of the world within the boundaries of neoteric surrealism.
Mingyi’s Illustration has won the Zankel Scholar Award 2024 by Society of Illustrators. Other awards include Communication Arts and 3x3 Professional categories. Mingyi actively participated in book fairs and other art activities, including MoCCA Fest, Jersey Art Book Fair, Anime NYC, etc. Mingyi’s self-published zines are sold at New York Bookstore Printed Matter, Inc. She has worked with multiple publishing houses and publishers in China, and has commissioned posters for Music Festivals and Microfilms.
